Classic Cars & Old Barns is a self-paced driving tour of Jackson Hole’s historic barns. Each stop features a classic car, and participants are encouraged to drive their own classic vehicles.

For its first year, the event creator was looking to create a memorable, timeless logo and assets that merged the rustic spirit of old barns with the vintage feel of classic cars. The concept grew out of what barns and classic cars have in common: weathered surfaces, honest materials, and craftsmanship that wears its age with pride. Barn wood and hand-painted lettering sit comfortably beside chrome, enamel, and vintage badges. I built a type system that pairs sturdy, slightly worn letterforms with classic automotive character, and a Western-inspired color palette pulled from both worlds.

I describe the merger as “backyard body shop". This aesthetic gives the branding a look that feels handmade, welcoming, and rooted in Jackson Hole's history.
