purposeful designs made just for you
As a one-woman operation, I work closely with my clients from start to finish to make their creative visions come to life through unique, intentional, and sometimes quirky designs.
Hi, I’m kia tolan.
I’m a graphic designer and illustrator based in Driggs, Idaho on the West side of the Tetons.
My passion for outdoor spaces inspires my art. I love design that is hand-drawn, organic, and rooted in nature. I believe good design is simple and tells a story without shouting.
I spent the first part of my career working for non-profits and local businesses. During that time, I noticed that small companies often de-prioritize their own branding, believing it’s unimportant or that their dollars go further elsewhere. But over the years I have come to realize how critical it is for ALL businesses to have great branding to be taken seriously and reach the people they want.
That’s why I started Kia Creative (formerly Do Something Kreative): To give small businesses, solo entrepreneurs and non-profits access to beautiful design and relevant branding that helps them confidently show up, speak out, and change the world.

My Approach
DiscoverI take the time to get to know you, your brand, and your goals (I love to meet in person for coffee!) so that I have all the information and inspiration I need to create.
CreateI use our discovery session to create original designs. We methodically move through the design process so nothing feels rushed and your feedback is heard.
LaunchOnce you’re totally satisfied with the design, I make sure you have all the assets you need to successfully implement your brand across all channels.
Kia was great to work with: very responsive and creative. I gave her a quick Idea of what I was looking for and she hit it out of the park. Her creativity wasn't only amazing; it has turned into a recognized brand in the region. In fact it turned out so great that I sell just as much merchandise as I do food.
